How it works
This tool scans installation folders for update.xml files, then identifies files that can be safely removed:
- For most installations: Files not referenced in the XML are marked for removal
- For package-based systems (like eXuberance_2): Files that don't contain any version number from the XML are marked for removal
- Select an installation from the list
- Review the list of unnecessary files
- Select files to delete and click the "Delete Selected Files" button
XML Info Button: Click the "XML Info" button next to any installation to view detailed information from its Updates.xml file, including:
- Application name and version
- Package updates with display names, versions, and release dates
- For MAC updates: Version information, publication dates, and minimum system requirements
Verify XML Button: Click the "Verify XML" button to check if the files referenced in the XML actually exist in the installation folders:
- For package-based systems: Checks if files named [Version][ArchiveName] exist in the package folder
- For MAC updates: Checks if the files referenced in the URL attributes exist
- Displays a summary of found and missing files with color-coded status indicators
Note: PDF and HTML files are automatically excluded from analysis. All variations of update.xml files (case-insensitive) will always be preserved, while files starting with '-' can be removed.
